Oh hey, I didn’t see you there. My name is Noah Boardman and I am currently developing my skills as a professional cabinet maker. I am an Amsterdam native of British heritage, born and raised in the Jordaan district of town. I have always been fueled by creativity and creation. As a child, I would obsess over using my K’nex construction toys to build things other than what the packaging would instruct. At age 10, I picked up a guitar and never looked back. Throughout my life I have discovered a love for many forms of creation and nothing gives me a sense of satisfaction like working my fingers to the bone to make something that can be enjoyed not just by myself but by all who may experience it.
I started my education at the HMC in Amsterdam in September 2016, looking to cement my passion for creation with a solid, sensible and beautiful line of work. As one might expect, I have learned more than can be told in a single page, both in the sense of practical skills & consistent logical thinking, and my appreciation for co-operating with others and learning to listen to those who know better.
My goal within the field of woodworking and furniture-building is to specialize in affordable, durable furnitures, aimed at potential customers with low incomes and little usable space. I have several concepts currently under design which will be posted to the Portfolio-page when clear designs have been made. Make sure to keep an eye out, you never know what you might find.
